A long-established Swansea hair salon has scooped a Swansea BID (Business Improvement District) Extra Mile Award for outstanding customer care.
Bello Capelli, which was established by two sisters, Andrea and Lucia Ismael, and operates in St Mary’s Square, has been recognised for the great lengths they go to, to keep clients and customers happy. The quarterly awards are also designed to give local businesses a boost for the hard work they carry out to help keep the City Centre vibrant and unique amid challenging conditions for UK retail.
Andrea, said: “I’m very pleased Bello Capelli has been recognised and I’m thankful for the positive client feedback that has helped us stand out from the crowd. We work hard as a team to give our client a warm welcome and it is lovely to see them return again and again. Many of our client have become friends, over the years, not simply customers.
“These aren’t easy times, economically, for small businesses and it is important that we all do what we can to create and to support vibrant, welcoming, functioning communities, that have inbuilt longevity. We are proud that we have been operating within the City Centre for more than ten years, and we are committed to being a part of Swansea City Centre well into the future.”
Andrew Douglas, Business Liaison Manager at Swansea BID, said: “We are delighted to present our Extra Mile Award to Bello Capelli. It is great to see the salon thriving. Excellent customer service is a cornerstone of the success of any business and here in Swansea City Centre we see so many great examples of it - our frequent mystery shopper activities bear this out. It is important that we all go the extra mile to support our City Centre businesses and to let them know when they are doing a great job. We would encourage anyone who has enjoyed a great customer care experience, to let us know by emailing: firstname.lastname@example.org so they can be considered for a Swansea BID Extra Mile Award.”
The winning businesses will be profiled on the Swansea BID’s website. https://www.swanseabid.co.uk/news/
Previous winners of the Extra Mile Award have been Swansea's: The Gamers’ Emporium, Chic & Elegant, Valley Mill, Juniper Place, La Toscana (formerly The Bush Eaterie).
